Effectively Reaching

Part of the NEWChurch initiative is to encourage and support those on the ground who are church-planting across Canada!

ACOPs Church Planting Catalyst, Cal Ellerby, spent a few days meeting with Chris and Adrienne Stevens who have planted Neighbours Church in Barrhaven, a suburb of Ottawa, ON.

Chris and Adrienne have a deep love for Barrhaven and the surrounding communities—they desire to see many come to Jesus!

Cal and Chris toured the Parliament Buildings and met with the National House of Prayer leader, Chris Bryberg.

Pray for Chris and his team as they effectively reach those far from God.

Another of ACOP’s Church Planting initiatives in Ottawa is Spirit Life Church pastored by sisters, Doreen Katto and Dorice.

These women have been instrumental in starting The Samaritan House, a home where refugees can land upon arriving in Canada.

Often, the people they serve, come with a suitcase, a dream, and nothing else to their name. Currently, Doreen and Dorice have 16 – 20 people living in a house they rent in their community.

Those arriving at The Samaritan House are invited to be part of “Spirit Life Church” which provides an opportunity to disciple many to Christ.

God is moving all over our country in ways we would never believe possible. Be in prayer for Doreen and Dorice as they walk out what they feel called to do in the center of our nation!
